Here are the answers to some of the most frequently asked questions we get.
Have a question that isn’t listed here? Ask us! A representative from our team is here to help via our contact forms page HERE or one of our social media platforms. If it’s a matter that requires immediate attention we may call you via the contact number you provide in your correspondence. You can expect a reply within 4 hours during business hours Monday – Friday 9-5pm PST. After hours, Saturdays, Sundays and Holidays expect a reply the next business day.
Do you answer questions after-hours?
Is your office/shop open to the public?
Due to insurance reasons, we do not not have an open shop to the public.
What if I’m local to Los Angeles, can I pick up my order instead of having the item/s shipped?
Before choosing the “Will Call” option when ordering, you will need to make an appointment using our contact form HERE to arrange will call pickup. You will receive an answer with specific details outlining time, date and location. In some instances, we may be able to arrange will call after normal business hours.

Motion Sports Apparel is located in Hermosa Beach which is in the Southwest portion of Los Angeles, 5 miles south of LAX airport.

When will my order be shipped?
We ship most orders within 24 hours of the order being placed, the exceptions being weekends and holidays.
Do you have an “overnight” delivery option for U.S. domestic shipping?
We have several shipping options to choose from, the fastest in delivery time being USPS “Priority Mail”. If you are in the same shipping zone as Motion Sports Apparel, you may receive your package within 2 business days. If you absolutely need your order delivered in one business day/overnight, please communicate with us using our contact form and we will try and accommodate you with an “Express” shipping option at an additional charge.
How long will it take to get my order?
This depends on whether it is an *International or a Domestic order. All orders within the U.S. are considered domestic orders and they are shipped and delivered within 2-5 business days. *Please see International Orders for more details HERE
Do you ship to my country?
At this time we ship to USA, Canada, Mexico, Australia, New Zealand and most of Europe. If your in a country outside any of these, contact us and we may make an exception.
Where is my order tracking number, I didn’t receive one.
Your confirmation email with tracking information may have been filtered into your spam/junk folder. Please check both your inbox and spam/junk folder and be sure to add Motion Sports Apparel to your “safe list”.
How can I track my order?
We will send tracking information to the e-mail address associated with your order once the item has shipped. If you have not received your tracking information and it has been over 2 business days, please contact us using our contact form HERE
Do I have to pay sales tax?
Sales Tax is charged to those orders shipped within the state of California and/or have a billing address in California.
Do you accept coupons or run promotions?
From time to time we will have coupons and special sale prices. We will email out a limited amount of promo codes to our customers. We will also post sales/promotions on our social media platforms. Be sure to follow us to receive the latest and limited time deals.
Where do I enter discount/promo code?
You may enter a discount/promo code on either the “Shopping Bag” page or the “Checkout” page. You will see an “Apply Coupon” field, enter the code there and click “Apply Coupon”, your total amount will be updated to reflect the discount. Should you have any issues with this, please contact us.
How do I order a gift for someone?
When ordering as a gift for someone, be sure to enter in your email address to receive all summary information but enter in the recipient’s name and shipping information. We will be sure to keep all prices and receipts out of the package. It’s also a good idea to remind us that the item will be a gift by stating it on the lower right side of our “Checkout” page in the “Order notes optional” field.

Which brand do you use to print your designs on?
We use the gold standard in the industry which is American apparel. Much information is available about the quality and craftsmanship of American Apparel items, not to mention the social responsibility of the company. American Apparel has set the bar extremely high when it comes to corporate culture, employment and environmental policies.
Where does Motion Sports Apparel manufacture/design their premium clothing?
All of our processes from blank materials to artwork and designs start and finish in the USA, Los Angeles, Ca.
How do I care for my premium design apparel items?
To preserve the colors and quality of your custom apparel items, we recommend washing inside out in cold water and hanging to dry. For more custom apparel washing tips, click here.
How To Wash Your Custom Apparel Products
Wash in Cold Water Unless you’re laundering hospital bed sheets where sterilization is important, there’s no reason to wash your everyday clothes in hot water. Cold water will sufficiently get your clothes clean, and it’s gentler on fabric. Hot water weakens the fibers in your clothing and will cause it to show signs of wear faster. Screen printed or digital heat transfer designs will not stand up to the heat. Washing in cold water is the best way to preserve your decorated printed apparel.
Even color safe bleach is a no-no when it comes to washing screen printed or digital heat transfer designs. Color safe bleach may cause the ink to be diluted, making the colors appear dull.
Wash Clothes Inside Out
Did your mother ever yell at you for throwing your clothes in the dirty clothes hamper inside out? You’ll only hear us say this once: don’t listen to mom on this subject! Washing your clothes inside out is the best way to protect your print or embroidered design as it prevents the design from rubbing up against other fabrics and damaging the print.
Hang to Dry
To be safe, forget using the dryer all together. Hanging your custom printed apparel items is always the preferred method of drying.

We know now that high heat settings cause the ink on printed designs to fade, but tumble dryers are also dangerous for embroidered items as the vigorous drying method can cause embroidered designs to curl and look wrinkled.
Read the Label
Cotton, polyester and blended fabrics all need to be treated differently. To ensure the longevity of your premium apparel items, always be sure to read and follow the washing instructions on the label.
Avoid High Heat
The dryer is your custom clothing’s worst enemy. Heat can cause screen printed and digital heat transfer designs to fade and crack. If you do need to use the dryer, set it to low heat.
Take Care When Ironing and Steaming
We know high heat is not custom apparel friendly, but that doesn’t mean you can’t iron your clothes. To protect the print, we recommend placing a thin cotton material over the decorated area as direct heat from the iron can dilute the brightness of the ink and cause it to crack. Plus, ink can stick to the iron and damage other clothing items.
When steaming items, steam the decorated garment from the inside out. Placing steam directly onto the decorated print may cause the ink to run.
